El despacho, or "the office" is a project by the Mexican artist Diego Guttiérrez, who always plays with the relationship between maker and spectator in her projects.
The projects come into being in collaboration with writers, film-makers, photographers, artists (national and international via RAIN) and the citizens of a specific place, for example, Mexico City. Last year the production of "6 documentaries and a film on Mexico City" was produced in which an inhabitant of Mexico City, and his/her social environment, are portrayed each time. The films are screened in the open air and via public channels such as television stations, and the video tapes are handed out free of charge.
