The Open Circle artists’ initiative (Bombay, India) searches
for a “creative engagement” with contemporary social and
political themes. One of the most important themes in its activities,
for example, is cultural “homogenisation” and aggression
against “the other”, both in India and beyond. Open Circle
organises projects in which theory and practice are interlinked, for
example - debates with people from different sections of society and
manifestations and activities with and for youngsters, activists etc.
These frequently take place on the streets of Bombay.
