BabelMed
Babelmed is an extensive website about the cultures in the vicinity of the Mediterranean
Sea. A network of journalists that work in the region supply ideas and articles.
The site offers both news and in-depth reports and editorials. It also has a
clear structure according to country. Surprising absentees (as yet?) are Italy,
Libya, Tunesia and Egypt. The site can be viewed in either French or English,
albeit that content of the two versions differs. An Arabian version is also
available for some items.
Babelmed receives financial support from the European Commission, the Fondation
René Seydoux and the European Cultural Foundation.
